Automatic Generation Control:
The objects of AGC are
1. To hold frequency at or veritably near to a specified nominal value.
2. To maintain the correct value of Cloverleaf power between control values.
3. To maintain each unit's generation at the most profitable value.
In order to run the state estimator, we must know how the transmission lines are connected to the cargo and creator motorcars. This information is called as network topology. Since the combers and switches in any substation can beget the network topology to change, a program must be handed that reads the telemetred combers switch status pointers and restructures the model of the system. The network topology programs must have a complete descriptions of each substation and how the transmission lines are attached to the substation outfit. Bus sections that are connected to the other machine sections through closed combers or switches are designed as belonging to the same electrical machine. therefore, the number of electrical motorcars and the manner in which they're connected can be changed in the model to reflect swell and switch status changes on the power system itself. The electrical model of the transmission system is transferred to the state estimation program together with the analog measures. The affair of the state estimator consists of all voltage bulks and phase angles, transmission line MW and MVAR overflows and machine loads and generations calculated from the line flows. These amounts, together with the electrical model, give the base for the profitable dispatch program, contingency analysis program and creator corrective action program.
